Sacred Pathways
A resource to help kids connect with God
A Sacred Pathway is simply the way we relate to God and draw near to him. We actually affirm God as our creator when we worship him the way we were made — Gary Thomas. Thomas wrote a book called “Sacred Pathways: Nine Ways to Connect with God” that shows different ways that different people connect with the Lord. It is to ultimately help us grow as children of God.
What is a Sacred Pathway?
Why should we use this?
We should use these types of resources to help us grow individually, as a family and help our kids understand God on a deeper level. It gives us personal ways to be able to deeply connect with God and use our differences to understand each other better. The goal as a parent should be to introduce these ideas to them, so they know they belong. Each child is made uniquely and God wants us to tap into that and this is one way we can do that.
Know that it is okay if a certain path doesn’t work at first. It takes time to find the right idea or plan within the type of paths they are connected with. Keep trying and loving them. The best you can do is simply guide and love them along the way.
