John came to BCCC
in 1988. He grew up in Columbus, OH, under the preaching
of W.R. Walker. He and his wife, Sandy, graduated from
Lincoln (IL) Christian College and John taught at Central
(MO) Christian College for 12 years in the fields of
Christian education and church music. While with the
College, he worked with a prison choir of 35 men for
over 7 years. John has also had ministries in Ft. Wayne
(Jerry Paul) and Lynn (Harry Holloway) IN; Southland
Christian Church (Wayne B. Smith) and Southern Acres
Christian Church (Wally Rendel) in Lexington, KY.
John was our music
minister for 12 years. He now works exclusively with
our Older Adults on a part-time basis. Their activities
include Sunday School Class, mid-week Bible study, monthly
trips, monthly carry-in meals and other special events.
John and Sandy have
three grown sons who are very active in their churches.
One is a preacher in MO. They also have 8 grandchildren.
